The future is shaped by today’s decisions, choices, and actions. What we don’t do is also important. But how can we create a stronger link between future-oriented thinking and action? What would be an easy way to develop these future-related skills? Fortunately, there is a starting point: we cannot design a future that we cannot imagine. However, before that, we need the courage to challenge what already is, both the present time and our expectations of things to come. We live in turbulent times and both the future and the present feel more uncertain and hazy than before. At a time like this, building hopeful scenarios about the future is absolutely necessary.
